Getting Basic Equipment
As soon as you lot tin beget it (at any time during the profession quest sequence!) yous should ameliorate your equipment, which volition make it easier and faster for you lot to level upwardly.
Get Xunlai Storage Space
Especially if you have a Factions business relationship merged with a Prophecies/Nightfall account, and you already have a high-level Prophecies/Nightfall character, or fifty-fifty some other high-level Factions character, it is recommended that y'all open a Storage account for your new Factions character equally soon as possible. This allows y'all to transfer gold and items from your one-time character to your new graphic symbol, which should make information technology much easier for the new grapheme to obtain new equipment. Yous should as well purchase a storage account upgrade so you can shop your crafting materials there. Opening an account and buying the storage upgrade will each cost fifty aureate.
Maximize Inventory Infinite
As soon as yous can afford information technology you should maximize your inventory infinite.
A Belt Pouch will increase your inventory space by 5 slots. You can get a belt pouch via any of these methods:
- Buy it from a Merchant in Shing Jea Monastery for 100 gold.
- Go it every bit a quest reward for the quest A Chugalug Pouch.
- Trade information technology from collector Marik Kuri or Hai Lae in Sunqua Vale. You'll have to slay a few Mantids or Kappas to obtain the items they are asking for, simply that should be fairly easy.

Improve your Armor
Your initial armor is very weak and does not offer much protection. As shortly as you have collected the necessary materials and golden you should get some better armor from one of the iii Armor Crafters in the Shing Jea Monastery. Prioritize chest armor and then leg armor before the others, as they receive more hits than the other pieces (though they also cost more to craft).
As an alternative, yous tin can obtain armor from the diverse armor collectors effectually Shing Jea Isle, which has the same armor rating every bit the ones y'all can buy at the Monastery, but be aware that some of these collectors are far away from the Monastery and you'll accept to defeat many foes and run through a large amount of land to attain them.
When y'all have spare funds, buy Minor Runes for the attributes of your primary profession from the Rune Trader in the Monastery and apply them to your armor. Small-scale runes are fairly cheap (usually 150 -250 gold) and have no downside, and then there is no reason not to use them. Often Major Runes will be cheaper than Minor Runes, but carry with them a -35 penalty to your hit points. At low levels this penalty can make advocacy very difficult, but for a graphic symbol that can afford the hit signal penalization, this is (often) a cheaper, more than potent pick to consider.
Note for Principal Elementalists, Monks and Ritualists: Consider saving your bones armor for an efficient farming build later on in game. This will hateful fewer inventory slots, merely it should evidence rewarding.Remember that once you lot make up one's mind to not salve it, you will never exist able to acquire it again!
Better your Weapons
The weapons you kickoff out with won't do much damage. As you kill foes on the island you will detect ameliorate weapons in the drops. Some weapons you lot may discover require a certain level for an attribute of either your primary or secondary profession. Most high-end weapons require at least ix levels invested in the linked attribute to do their maximum damage potential.
There are several other means to obtain better weapons besides finding them in the drops of browbeaten foes. On the island at that place are collectors who offering weapons in exchange for collectors items. In the monastery you will as well find a weaponsmith who will craft you a weapon in commutation for some materials and gold. Also, if y'all don't program to trade your weapon with another thespian, you tin can pay 10 gilt and have the weaponsmith customize your weapon. This will increase the weapon's damage by 20%. Finally you lot can trade with fellow players for gilded or items to obtain better weapons to utilise.
Exploring Shing Jea Island
Exploring Areas
At any time during your profession quest sequence y'all are free to explore the surface area and fight foes to gain feel and collect drops. This way you tin can increase your character level and attributes plus you lot collect coin and materials that you lot volition demand to buy better equipment.

Lost Treasure is unlocked past completing the mission Minister Cho'southward Estate (mission). An Unwelcome Guest is unlocked by completing the mission Zen Daijun (mission). If you detect any of these quests to exist likewise difficult, you may choose to come up dorsum to practise these quests after.
Leaving Shing Jea Island
Subsequently completing the second mission, yous volition exist able to take a ship from Seitung Harbor to The Market in Kaineng City on the mainland of Cantha. This is where the real claiming begins.
Unlike with Prophecies, yous tin ever return to the starting isle later on going to the mainland if you need to terminate any missed objectives.
If you consummate every quest on Shing Jea Isle earlier you go out, including all the secondary profession quests, and consummate both missions on Master difficulty, you lot should be around level 19 when you attain the mainland.
