Secondary Profession Quests

Later on the quest An Audition with Chief Togo, Main Togo will assign to you a new quest, "Speak with Headmaster (proper name) ((profession))". These are the aforementioned Headmasters as listed above for the primany profession. Pick the Headmaster for the secondary profession that you'd like to learn.

This will kickoff a second quest sequence equally listed to a higher place for the primary profession, merely this time information technology will be for your secondary profession.

Note: If you're not certain about your preferred secondary profession yet, don't worry; as long as you haven't finished the whole quest sequence for i profession and taken the quest Cull Your Secondary Profession, you can still endeavour any different profession past talking to the Master Togo once again and picking a dissimilar Headmaster quest. You can even have more than than 1 secondary profession quest sequence active on your quest log. This way you tin can not only test out all secondary professions, merely you can besides collect all the rewards (XP, gold and Monastery Credits) of all the secondary profession quests!

Once you accept completed the whole sequence for one profession you may return to Principal Togo and confirm your choice with the quest Cull Your Secondary Profession. After this, your secondary profession will be fixed.

Note: If you happen to change your mind afterwards on, you lot can accept your secondary profession changed by Senji in Senji's Corner, for a fee of 500 gold.

Before making the selection, consider completing all secondary profession quests to harvest the quest rewards, even if you don't intend to option the professions. The combined rewards for each of the quests are 3700 experience and 260 gold, or 25900 experience and 1820 gold full.

If y'all exercise decide to perform all the secondary profession quests, at some signal you will visit Tsumei Village. Henchman in Tsumei Village are level 6 whereas Henchman in Shing Jea Monastery are but level three. Therefore, when you are doing your secondary profession quests, or any other quests that are close to Tsumei Village, you may wish to get-go travel to Tsumei Hamlet and begin the quests from there so that your henchman are higher level.

Getting Basic Equipment

As soon as you lot tin beget it (at any time during the profession quest sequence!) yous should ameliorate your equipment, which volition make it easier and faster for you lot to level upwardly.

Get Xunlai Storage Space

Especially if you have a Factions business relationship merged with a Prophecies/Nightfall account, and you already have a high-level Prophecies/Nightfall character, or fifty-fifty some other high-level Factions character, it is recommended that y'all open a Storage account for your new Factions character equally soon as possible. This allows y'all to transfer gold and items from your one-time character to your new graphic symbol, which should make information technology much easier for the new grapheme to obtain new equipment. Yous should as well purchase a storage account upgrade so you can shop your crafting materials there. Opening an account and buying the storage upgrade will each cost fifty aureate.

Maximize Inventory Infinite

As soon as yous can afford information technology you should maximize your inventory infinite.

A Belt Pouch will increase your inventory space by 5 slots. You can get a belt pouch via any of these methods:

  • Buy it from a Merchant in Shing Jea Monastery for 100 gold.
  • Go it every bit a quest reward for the quest A Chugalug Pouch.
  • Trade information technology from collector Marik Kuri or Hai Lae in Sunqua Vale. You'll have to slay a few Mantids or Kappas to obtain the items they are asking for, simply that should be fairly easy.

A Handbag will increase your inventory infinite by five slots. You can have 2 numberless. You can get a pocketbook via any of these methods:

  • Buy it from a Merchant in Shing Jea Monastery for 100 gold.
  • Trade information technology for 1 Monastery Credit at a Monastery Quartermaster.
  • Trade it from collector Hao Zhang in Shing Jea Monastery. Yous'll need 1 Oni Talon from Bottom Oni; 1 can be institute in Sunqua Vale slightly to the northward of the portal to Tsumei Village.

A Rune of Belongings increases the chapters of a handbag by 5 slots. You can apply one per bag, but they cannot be practical on your belt pouch. You tin can get a Rune of Holding via any of these methods:

  • Merchandise information technology for three Monastery Credits at a Monastery Quartermaster.
  • Buy it for 500 gilded at Merchants in Seitung Harbor.

Improve your Armor

Your initial armor is very weak and does not offer much protection. As shortly as you have collected the necessary materials and golden you should get some better armor from one of the iii Armor Crafters in the Shing Jea Monastery. Prioritize chest armor and then leg armor before the others, as they receive more hits than the other pieces (though they also cost more to craft).

As an alternative, yous tin can obtain armor from the diverse armor collectors effectually Shing Jea Isle, which has the same armor rating every bit the ones y'all can buy at the Monastery, but be aware that some of these collectors are far away from the Monastery and you'll accept to defeat many foes and run through a large amount of land to attain them.

When y'all have spare funds, buy Minor Runes for the attributes of your primary profession from the Rune Trader in the Monastery and apply them to your armor. Small-scale runes are fairly cheap (usually 150 -250 gold) and have no downside, and then there is no reason not to use them. Often Major Runes will be cheaper than Minor Runes, but carry with them a -35 penalty to your hit points. At low levels this penalty can make advocacy very difficult, but for a graphic symbol that can afford the hit signal penalization, this is (often) a cheaper, more than potent pick to consider.

Note for Principal Elementalists, Monks and Ritualists: Consider saving your bones armor for an efficient farming build later on in game. This will hateful fewer inventory slots, merely it should evidence rewarding.Remember that once you lot make up one's mind to not salve it, you will never exist able to acquire it again!

Better your Weapons

The weapons you kickoff out with won't do much damage. As you kill foes on the island you will detect ameliorate weapons in the drops. Some weapons you lot may discover require a certain level for an attribute of either your primary or secondary profession. Most high-end weapons require at least ix levels invested in the linked attribute to do their maximum damage potential.

There are several other means to obtain better weapons besides finding them in the drops of browbeaten foes. On the island at that place are collectors who offering weapons in exchange for collectors items. In the monastery you will as well find a weaponsmith who will craft you a weapon in commutation for some materials and gold. Also, if y'all don't program to trade your weapon with another thespian, you tin can pay 10 gilt and have the weaponsmith customize your weapon. This will increase the weapon's damage by 20%. Finally you lot can trade with fellow players for gilded or items to obtain better weapons to utilise.

Exploring Shing Jea Island

Exploring Areas

At any time during your profession quest sequence y'all are free to explore the surface area and fight foes to gain feel and collect drops. This way you tin can increase your character level and attributes plus you lot collect coin and materials that you lot volition demand to buy better equipment.

Come across Shing Jea Island for a list of locations and a map. Be aware that some gates remain airtight to you until you select your secondary profession, so you cannot enter certain locations.

Additional Quests

Whenever yous come across a dark-green assertion mark above the caput of an NPC, talk to him/her to check for quests offered. Again, be aware that some quests are not bachelor as long as you have non finalized your secondary profession and/or finished your kickoff mission (read below). There are many quests to be found on Shing Jea Isle. It is advisable to complete a few of them to become your character to a higher level before leaving the island.

Your first two Missions

One time you have finalized your secondary profession, yous will be granted admission to the first mission location, Minister Cho's Estate. The quest A Formal Introduction volition have you hither. Accept on the mission and complete it for extra XP and Skill Points. For details, read: Minister Cho's Manor (mission)

Once you have finished your starting time mission and the follow-up quests Warning the Tengu and The Threat Grows, you are gratuitous to leave the Shing Jea Monastery area via the Saoshang Trail and explore the eastern side of the Shing Jea Isle. The quest The Road Less Traveled will take y'all to Seitung Harbor. Further exploration volition take you to the eastern-almost outpost on the island of Zen Daijun, which is the 2d mission location.

Attribute Signal Quests

On Shing Jea Island at that place are two quests which give you 15 aspect points each. One is Lost Treasure, the other is An Unwelcome Guest. Lost Treasure is unlocked past completing the mission Minister Cho'southward Estate (mission). An Unwelcome Guest is unlocked by completing the mission Zen Daijun (mission). If you detect any of these quests to exist likewise difficult, you may choose to come up dorsum to practise these quests after.

Leaving Shing Jea Island

Subsequently completing the second mission, yous volition exist able to take a ship from Seitung Harbor to The Market in Kaineng City on the mainland of Cantha. This is where the real claiming begins.

Unlike with Prophecies, yous tin ever return to the starting isle later on going to the mainland if you need to terminate any missed objectives.

If you consummate every quest on Shing Jea Isle earlier you go out, including all the secondary profession quests, and consummate both missions on Master difficulty, you lot should be around level 19 when you attain the mainland. This means yous only need to do a couple of like shooting fish in a barrel quests in order to reach level 20 to gain an additional 15 aspect points.

Good luck, and have fun!!
